Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Eastern Washington Eagles will be hoping that momentum from a current five-game win streak will be enough to take down the 17th-ranked Washington Huskies in a non-conference battle at Alaska Airlines Arena on Sunday. Eastern Washington has won five straight games dating back to Nov. 22, and sports an 8-1 record coming into this clash. The Eagles, who havent played a large contingent of notable opponents, are coming off an 81-76 victory over San Francisco. EWUs in-state rival Washington has won all seven games this season, and is 2-0 at home. The Huskies took a defensive battle, 49-36, over San Diego State last Sunday, which was the teams last outing. Washington holds a 12-1 all-time record over Eastern Washington in the series between the sides. The programs met last season in Seattle, which saw Washington come away with a 92-80 victory. Eastern Washington used yet another offensive explosion to take a 40-30 advantage over San Francisco at the half of the teams latest contest. The Eagles finished the game shooting 42.4 percent from the field, going 12-of-25 from 3-point range and hitting 19-of-26 from the free-throw line. Ognjen Miljkovic paced the Eagles with 20 points in the game, while Tyler Harvey contributed 19 points in the win. Parker Kelly chipped in 15 points, and Venky Jois notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. EWU forced 16 San Francisco turnovers in the win. The Eagles are led by two scorers this season who average over 20 points per outing. Jois tops the team at 21.1 ppg, adding in a team-best 8.4 rpg mark as well. Harvey, last seasons go-to scorer for Eastern Washington, comes into the clash with Washington netting 20.4 ppg. Miljkovic rounds out the trio of double-digit scorers for EWU this season, coming in at 13.2 ppg. Drew Brandons 5.0 apg is the best on the squad, along with his 2.0 spg margin. The Eagles are amassing an impressive 85.0 ppg as a unit. It wasnt exactly a pretty offensive performance for either side offensively in Washingtons win over San Diego State, but the Huskies got the job done on 37.5 percent shooting after the Aztecs netted a dismal 20.4 percent of their tries from the floor. Nigel Williams-Goss scored 15 points with six rebounds to lead the team in the win, followed by Andrew Andrews 13 points. Robert Upshaw grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in the teams seventh win of the season. Washington has prided itself on playing strong defense this season, as the Huskies hold their opponents to an average of 57.6 ppg on just 33.6 percent shooting. Meanwhile the team is scoring just over 70 points per outing, netting 70.1 ppg on 43.5 percent shooting from the floor. Williams-Goss leads the offensive charge with 14.7 ppg, adding in a team-best 48 assists on the year. Andrews checks in at 12.6 ppg, and Shawn Kemp Jr. adds 10.0 ppg on a 62.2 percent shooting touch. Upshaw and Mike Anderson each lead the team in rebounding at 5.7 rpg. Cheap Kobe Shoes For Sale . He insisted they are still the team to beat. So yes, the Brooklyn Nets have plenty of respect for the two-time defending NBA champions -- and no fear. Pierce made that clear again Sunday, a day after the Nets Game 3 rout that cut Miamis lead to 2-1 in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Brooklyn will try to even the series at home Monday night. "Youve got to have that type of mental ego against a juggernaut. You go against the best, a lot of series are won on fear factor, like, or non-belief. When you have that non-belief, then you have no chance," Pierce said after practice. "What I try to do in this locker room, or with my teammates, is just try to give them belief that we can beat this team. Theyre not unbeatable." The Heat had been in these playoffs until the Nets 104-90 victory on Saturday night. Miami hadnt even faced a fourth-quarter deficit, but was out of the game long before then after Brooklyn dominated the third quarter to build a huge lead. "The defeat was complete," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "It was both sides of the basketball. "It was like trying to plug in holes in a leaking dam. There was so many things that were not in our favour really on both ends of the court." The Nets made 15 of 25 3-point attempts, outrebounded Miami 43-27, and limited LeBron James to two baskets over the final three quarters after he had 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting in the first. Brooklyn swept the regular-season series, though none of the games was anywhere near as easy as Game 3. Yet the four victories gave the Nets a confidence against the Heat that some other opponents may not have. "We just had a little success against them during the regular season. We played them well and we feel like we match up well wiith them," Nets guard Deron Williams said.dddddddddddd "And if were on top of our game, were playing defence the way were capable of playing, like we did the last game, we put ourselves in a good position to win." Pierce did his part after the Nets were routed in Game 1, asking coach Jason Kidd to switch up the defence so he could guard James. And after he and the Nets did such a good job of it over the final three quarters of Game 3, Pierce said the Nets wanted to show the Heat that they werent scared of them. "Why should it be a fear factor?" James said. "Its just basketball. Were not trying to win a war here, its just basketball. Thats all it is. Were all grown men, who cares about whos fearing who? "Weve never been a team that talks. We dont get into that, and weve never been a bulletin board team. We just want to play the game the right way and we give ourselves a good chance to win if we play our type of basketball and last night we didnt do that." Miami had won its previous eight post-season games and followed every loss with a victory last year. To do that in this series, Spoelstra said the Heat would not only need better effort and urgency, but also more attention to the little details. Pierce is expecting that, as well as in Game 5 back in Miami on Wednesday night. Even though the Heat didnt look it Saturday, he believes they are just as good as the recent versions that ended his seasons in Boston. "Definitely. Theyre well-seasoned now. They know how to win," Pierce said. "Theyve won two championships, theres nothing they havent been through. So the one thing you always hear, its kind of a cliche, is never underestimate the heart of a champion, and you know thats what they have under their belts. So you know, theyre the team to beat."
